  5. 1) 1.3.6 allows batch processing. Try:
  6.     DM95 -H
  7.    for a list of valid switches.

  9. 2) DiskMagic 95 in NetBios slave mode will not timeout as in previous versions.

  11. Summary
  12. --------
  13. The main purpose of DiskMagic 95 is to allow fast setup of Win95, Win NT and
  14. OS/2 workstations.
  15.  
  16. DiskMagic 95 is a utility program which allows copying complete disks, either
  17. from one computer to another (via NetBios) or on the same computer,
  18. via a disk to disk copy.
  19.  
  20. It also allows complete disk images to be dumped to a file, or loaded from
  21. a file back to a disk.
  22.  
  23. The target disk does not need to be partitioned (with FDISK) or FORMATed.
  24.  
  25. The disks do not have to be the same size, or have the same physical
  26. characteristics (eg sectors per track). DiskMagic 95 will copy all partitions,
  27. including non-Dos partitions (eg Diagnostic partitions and Power saving
  28. partitions on NoteBook computers).
  29.  
  30. Dos (including Windows,W95 and OS/2 Fat) partitions may be expanded or
  31. contracted to fit the destination drive.
  32.  
  33. DiskMagic 95 will copy Unix partitions, however the source and destination
  34. drives must be identical for Unix to work on the target drive.
  35.  
  36. Using DiskMagic 95.
  37. -------------------
  38. Most users will save a disk image of the PC to be cloned on a server disk.
  39. They then boot the PC to be cloned under DOS, connect to the server using
  40. appropriate network software, then load the disk image onto the local PC.
  41.  
  42. A number of PC's can be loaded from the same image file at the same time,
  43. which speeds the setup process.
  44.  
  45. Using NetBIOS
  46. -------------
  47. The NetBIOS interface provides peer to peer connection, and allows
  48. cloning of a complete drive to a remote computer.
  49.  
  50. Both computers must have a network card and be running the minimum
  51. network software needed for a NetBios connection (see below for details).
  52.  
  53. DiskMagic 95 should be run on both the source and target simultaneously. Select
  54. "NetBios Slave" for the computer containing the target drive, and "NetBios
  55. Master" for the computer containing the source drive.
  56.  
  57. DiskMagic 95 will automatically connect the two computers. Once connected all
  58. dialogue is with the "NetBios Master" computer.
  59.  
  60. It may be useful to have a special boot diskette which loads just the
  61. software needed by DiskMagic 95 for the NetBIOS connect. Eg for a NE2000 network
  62. card the following files would be required:

  84. For quantities up to 10 DiskMagic 95 is supplied with an activator key(s)
  85. which plugs into the parallel port of the PC being cloned.
  86.  
  87. For quantities over 10 we will provide site licences. Companies are
  88. supplied with a special version of DiskMagic 95 with their own company name
  89. and the number of licenced PCs. This version does not need an activator
  90. key.

  92. Once the order is received, a hardware key which plugs into the printer
  93. port is sent via US Mail post. Allow 5 working days to arrive.  UPS/FEDEX
